Creative Digital Making for Families!

Get Creative this Half Term with the SHIFT programme, with a focus of hands on digital making activities introducing new technologies to young Cheshire East makers and their families.

SHIFT clicks into action for families from February with a family programme designed to inspire little people with big ideas and digital dreams. Crewe Library and Macclesfield Print Mill will host a fantastic and fun series of digital maker sessions, workshops and activities introducing new technologies to mini makers across Cheshire East.

All sessions – including wearable tech, art with conductive ink and circuit making – will get brains buzzing and fingers flapping over keyboards, coding and crafts.

Try your hand at creating a Makey Makey human keyboard or light up badge and bracelets!

In the north and south of the borough, activities are free to attend at Crewe Library and The Print Mill on Mill Street in Macclesfield.

Additional themes for family holiday activities throughout the year include: future cities, transport and food; bio-hacking; e-textiles and ethical hacking. Check back as more dates are confirmed!
