Developed for school groups, this fun and hands-on Code-A-Sphero workshop teaches the power of coding in a fun and creative environment.
You will design and build a Sphero maze, then learn how to code a mini Sphero to move (roll), change direction (spin) and alter its colour. Once the training is complete we put these new skills to the test by coding a mini sphero to escape the maze.
Cheshire East Council’s Shift programme for digital, creative technology and new media has received funding from Google to deliver computer coding based activity as part of EU Code Week. This funding enables us to run public access and schools workshops in partnership with Libraries across the borough over two weeks from 5-19 October.
EU code week is an internal event that aims to skill up young people who would not normally have access to this type of computer science education.
In an increasingly digital world, it aims to develop skills and interests of young people to help make this a potential choice for their future career.
