Code Club Volunteer Training Session @ Macclesfield Museum

Interested in inspiring the next generation of digital makers? Perfect – this session is designed to give you all the information you need to get started.

Liz Smart, Code Club Coordinator for the North West, will be on hand to welcome you to the community and tell you everything you need to know about Code Club.

The session will cover:

  • What is a Code Club?
  • How to get started with Code Club
  • Safeguarding
  • An introduction to Scratch and the Code Club learning projects

Who is the training for?

  • Adults (16+) who would like to know more about getting involved with Code Club
  • Although you don’t need any coding experience to volunteer with Code Club, this particular training session is for those who have a basic knowledge of coding


Please bring a laptop with you to take part in the hands-on element of the training. It would also be beneficial to install Scratch on your machine.

More about The Old Sunday School:

Access: Step free access to the ground floor, lift to first floor meeting rooms and second floor Cinemac, stairs to basement displays, accessible toilet.

Location: The Old Sunday School is located off the main road into Macclesfield, Churchill Way. There is no on-site parking, but lots of public parking is available behind the building on Exchange Street, parallel to it on Duke Street or across the road on Churchill Way.
